If your question is "is cetaphil good for oily acne prone skin?" or "what is the best acne skin care for adults?" then your answer is in both these brands! Read on ..

I was blessed with very oily skin. A blessing because it has afforded me youthful looking skin and has been a definite catalyst for my interest in skin care. On the flip "not so appreciative" side, my oily skin can be a tad annoying to manage under makeup, and during my years of troublesome acne it greatly exacerbated the issue
"I just washed my face and it feels squeaky clean!" - Right? No, very wrong!
Reflecting back on my acne years when my sebum production what at an all time high and rivalled collective oil production in the middle east, I found a false sense of security in the squeaky clean post wash feel of stripping facial cleansers. Boy-o-boy did the cracking dryness of my skin feel good, and surely that showed these cleansers were effective, right? No, very wrong!
Whatever your skin type, good skin care starts with kindness and being gentle with your skin and that means using products that are all round non stripping, pH balanced, low on fragrance and moisturising. Stripping your skin equals compromising its all important protective barrier!
The C solution. Cetaphil and Cerave
Now that I have 'C-een' the light and versed myself well on skin care best practices, when it comes to being gentle no one does it better than Cetaphil and Cerave. Both have been absolute game changers for my skin! These products are simply amazing for all skin types, and for my acne prone readers, please try the gentle cleansers from either or both product lines, then come back here and join me in giving them and your beautiful skin a standing ovation!
When it comes to being gentle no one does it better than Cetaphil and Cerave!
Look I lined them all up for you, in what looks like a lovely family photo of my collection! The E45 emollient shower cream is the visiting cousin, I included it because it works well for those super dry flaky body skin days.
Cerave contains renowned skin care goodies Ceramides, Niacinamide for skin barrier restoration and Hyaluronic acid for moisture retention and collagen synthesis

The Skincare Pantry recommends
Cetaphil and Cerave of course! The good news is that both ranges are relatively inexpensive. My all time favourites of the bunch are the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Cerave Foaming Cleanser and the Cerave Moisturising Cream. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansers has a creamy consistency, it almost feels like a moisturiser when applied the skin but washes off thoroughly leaving your skin feeling really soft. The smallest amount of the Cerave Foaming Cleanser really foams up and because of this I was a little sceptical at first as I thought it would be drying, but it is not at all.
