Undoubtedly, my favourite day of the week is the day, normally a Tuesday, that I get to go to my local sauna and steam room.

I'm incredibly lucky to have a sauna and steam room at my local gym, and it's part of my gym package so I get to use it as often as I want for no extra cost. Some weeks I go more than once a week, and at the moment because I have a little more time to spare, I am going five days a week - yes, there you go, I just confessed to overindulging in a good thing!
I am such a huge fan of this method of all round skin cleansing and purification and my after results compared to the before is baby soft skin that just glows for days!
For my sauna and steam days, I keep aside a bag of indulgent goodies that I bring along with me and depending on what my skin care needs, I switch up products weekly. Recently, I have gone all Hammam style and incorporated a Kese (that's a Hammam mitt to the likes of you and I) into my regime. I use my Kese immediately after my steam bath rubbing my skin in light circular motion, and just watch in jaw dropping amazement as dead skin effortlessly slough off (yes slightly gross to see in action but immensely gratifying)! You can shower off with Beldi Soap, African Black Soap or any other soap of your choice. The process is also great for improving blood circulation!

Here is a glimpse of some of the products that I will be taking along with me this week. Not to worry if you do not have an affordable sauna or steam room close by, watch out for my upcoming post on creating the perfect bath time routine. That post should have you covered!
